My name is Justin and I am from Redwood City, California, which is roughly twenty minutes south of San Francisco. I am a junior at Texas Christian University and am a Resident Assistant in Sherley Hall this year. My major is Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing, with a minor in Environmental Science. I am in the Neeley Fellows program at TCU, which is the honors business program. I also work at the University Union and help put on programs for students.
I didn't really know that I was taking a course in Gothic literature until I showed up for the first day of class. However, I am excited to read and be exposed to a new genre of literature. I haven't really read anything Gothic, except for Wuthering Heights and the Scarlett Letter, if those even count as Gothic literature. The class sounds interesting and it will be a nice break from the the business classes. I hope to gain a good understanding of how to define Gothic Literature and be able to identify when I am reading a Gothic novel.
